The Milwaukee Bucks routed the New York Knicks 95-79 at London’s O2 Arena as the NBA Global Games returned to the United Kingdom on Thursday night.
O.J. Mayo starred for the Bucks with 22 points, while Brandon Knight shot for 20 points and took six steals, to extend the Knicks’ record losing streak to 16.
The return of Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire did little to spark the Knicks, with an NBA worst record of 5 victories and 36 defeats for the season so far.
The Bucks took a 12-0 lead, were up by 24 in the second quarter and never let New York closer than 11 the rest of the way.
Anthony led the Knicks with 25 points. Stoudemire was scoreless in eight first-half minutes and didn’t play after the break. Anthony missed the previous six games because of a knee problem, and Stoudemire had been sidelined since December 25, also with a knee injury.
